Sand Blasting / Tumbling

Sandblasting is the operation of cleaning or preparing a surface by propelling a stream of abrasive material against it.

Tumbling is the operation smoothing and polishing a rough surface on relatively small parts. Parts are placed in the machines along with water, media, cleaning compounds and rust inhibitors. Many types of media can be used, depending on the required finish.

These machines range in various sizes. Burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, flash and heat-treat scale can eaily be removed
